It’s that time of year again. The crowds are starting to fill the streets; the men are setting up their grilles. The smells of the infamous Fenway Franks are lingering in the air. Its game time. The Red Sox are back in town and are starting their 115th season in the American Baseball League. It is an exciting yet sad start to the season. Big Papi, one of the most valuable players on the Red Sox, has announced that this will be his last year playing on the team before retiring. Soon the number on Big Papi’s jersey will be placed among the eight other players who have retired numbers, that are posted above right field in Fenway Park. Before he retires you should catch a game to watch the player as he finishes off his last season.
Its Spring Break! Where are you all going?! If you are anything like me I stayed in the beautiful city of Boston. If you are coming to Boston you just hit the jackpot because I am going to share with you some fun places to visit. If the weather is nice head to Newbury St. for some shopping. There are more stores than you could imagine. As well as a variety of places to grab a bite to eat. Close by is the Boston Public Library that is always nice to visit. If you need a break to just sit and relax they have a beautiful court yard that is placed in the center of the library. Grab a book off the thousands of shelves that interests you and sit in one of the most peaceful places Boston has to offer. On a not so very nice day out I highly suggest visiting the New England Aquarium. Not very long ago they opened an exhibit where you can touch the stingrays!!! That’s right touch them, it is so cool! They also have a really cool penguin exhibit that takes place in the center of the exhibit. If you are lucky enough you might catch the workers swimming around feeding the penguins, which is always amazing seeing. The penguins jump off the rocks to catch the fish! Right next door to the aquarium is also the Simons IMAX theatre. Every week they have different movies available to see and not only are they entertaining, but you I am almost certain you will learn something you had not known before. I hope you have a great Spring Break, stay safe!
The weather is finally getting there; sunny with just the right amount of wind to keep us cool. Who wouldn’t wanna go shopping in Boston’s Faneuil Hall on a day like that. Located inches away from the waterfront, as well as Boston’s Government Center. In 2008, Faneuil Hall was rated number 4 in America’s Top 25 most visited tourist sites. Faneuil Hall has all the must have stores for any age group, boys or girls. For example, Urban Outfitters, Build-A-Bear, Newbury Comics and so much more! They also have many food options if you wanted to take a break from shopping and grab a bite to eat. If you are looking for something quick I would suggest grabbing something in Quincy Market, located in the middle of Faneuil Hall. Quincy Market has many food options with backgrounds in all ethnicities. If you are interested in sitting down for a meal though, there are many options in and surrounding Faneuil Hall for you to choose from. Don’t miss out on the fun!

With only 12 more home games for the Boston Bruins, all I have to say is catch a game while you can! This Boston team competes in the National Hockey League and has been around since 1924. Ticket prices range, but are typically higher than your average hockey game since the Boston Bruins are a six time Stanley Cup Champion team! The Boston Bruins play at the TD Garden, which is closer to Boston’s West End. So for those of you who are 21 and wanna get a drink at the bar before heading in there are plenty of bars around the area, people always rant about The Harp (It has a great atmosphere!). OR if you are hungry and wanna get a bite to each I totally recommend grabbing a cheesy slice of pizza from Halftime Pizza. It is soooooo yummy! My best friend Brooke and I just went to a game two weeks ago and got a slice from Halftime!
